And So It Begins
For the last several years people have been saying things like, “You really need a blog” or “I can’t believe that you’re not a blogger.” I thought blogger might some kind of insult hurled by British rugby players or some type of ugly birthmark. It might be both and finally I’m taking the plunge. I’m excited about having a soapbox on which to share random thoughts on EMS, leadership, quality management, and life in general. Thanks for checking in.

I’m struggling with an issue that you or one of your associates may be able to help me with. I work in a Fire/EMS secondary PSAP. We do the usual quality stuff with our EMD calltaking, but over the last couple of years a few of us have come to realize that EMD-Q covers only a relatively small part of what we do. We’re interested, for example, in CQI approaches to our radio traffic. Does anybody out there have any experience in this realm?

Mike: It is interesting to note in China physicians are paid a premium to keep people healthy not treat their health issues. In our western world we pay medical practitioners for treating a person when they are sick.
What we have in our developed nations is SICK CARE not health care. The epidemic of poor health in our younger generation will in fact break the current system of trying to cure people of disease. While change is not necessarily inevitable….Inevitably there will be change
